Magnetic Shielding tape: Anyone use this?

by CaptainPioneer » Tue Feb 15, 2011 7:47 am

Hi guys... My buddy is having some problems which I think i have traced back to his ballasts and wiring to his HID lights in his Tundra. They are aftermarket lights obviously,

But we re-grounded his HU to see if it was a grounding problem for bad radio reception and it did not cure it.

It only happens when the lights turn on which leads me to believe that the ballasts or wires or both are throwing off mega-amounts of noise. My guess is that they are unshielded...

Has anyone tried to use shielding tape? Or have any solutions... I am also trying to relocate some of the wires but there is only so much wire and so many paths i can go.

Any suggestions?
