Thanks both of you for explanation. JeremyC... it wont be hard with pxa to find best position. Tweeter and midrange must be pointed at the same direction or it's not important?

I read on this site http://www.teamaudionutz.com that the most important thing for stage is midrange.
I wanna get more wider stage and hopefully depth.

You don't need both speakers pointed "at" you to be on axis. But they do need to be "toward" you.

The vehical / install location / and early reflections, will also play into effect.

You best bet is to find source music inside of their x-over point and play around with positioning, phase, and TA. You can even use mono pink noise. Just make sure the only speakers playing are the ones your playing with position wise.

So on axis... that means both drivers aimed at me?

Tell me sth... Is it true that DD was at the beginning directed to sound quality and not to SPL like nowdays?
DD originally was Resonance Engineering. They created some of the most sought after studio monitors ever made. The very first IMAX theater had Resonance speakers.

Once Resonance moved from California to Oklahoma, they started making subwoofers and changed their name to Digital Designs.

The myth is that the speakers don't sound good, they just get loud. The truth is that all the speakers are musical, but not necessarily used for sound quality.

Only the 91Z series is engineered to be used for sq applications.

I think there were server problems last night that might have caused it.

Nice! Thanks SQ Jeep owner :D Equipment is OK (not exactly excellent), I'm gonna tweak PXA and amplifiers some day. For PXA already know what to modifie but for amps it is still under big question what to do (aint that easy). Probably I'll hang up those poor amps and buy some sweet S serie from DD (powerfull and dynamic).
Headunit sux... Slow and laggy piece of shit. It takes 10 seconds to read a CD.

I have a big problem last 3 days. Nobody wants to clearly explain me for DD A tw and conus mid if i should go on or off axis. I guess its problem that they are all SPL freaks :D
Thats why I found this forum (google ftw).

I too have a Grand Cherokee...mine is an 04 model 4x4 Laredo. Nice ride you have there. Excellent choice of equipment if I do say so myself.

Welcome to CAC. Make yourself at home!
