I can get those Hifonics Hi-Fi subs and they are cheap price wise. One of the cheapest subs I can get before going all crap brand... Its even cheaper than some of those.

I dont even remember the specs anymore, its been over 2 years. All I remember is that it was ported and tuned, I THINK 32 or 33...im not sure. Its been so long that whatever knowledge I had is gone.

I dont even necessarily need two subs. I have no idea what to get.

Figured as much. I think I might just stick with Alpine since I never had any trouble with their subs before.

How do I decide which to get...one sub or two? 10 or 12? Whats the difference?

Id like to keep the price as close to $200 as I can. Ive been looking at online sites such as hifisoundconnection.com sonicelectronix.com etc.
Im thinking something like this:
http://www.hifisoundconnection.com/Shop ... sell_price
I havent had any experience with Hifonics subs but I did have a Hifonics BX1605D amp hooked up to my (2) 12" Alpine Type R and I didnt have any complaints.
I dont know anything about that amp thats included, so I dont know if its a good one or not.
I have a sub enclosure from the (2) 12" Alpine Type R subs that was custom made by Bill Wolf (Wolfpack Audio), but I dont know if I would be able to use that box with any other subs than those that it was built for.

Like Ryan said, the AB DX is a good sub. I got mine from him.

I haven't had much experience with Massive, but I'm sure others will shine in.

A guy on another board I belong to just installed a Massive HD amp and an American Bass DX sub. He built his own enclosure with fiberglass. I believe in the same car as yours.

Once that board come back online I will post a link- its down due to maintenance.

But in short it depend son how much MORE you want.

If you just want some more fill, a single 10 in a sealed box will do.

What should I get?

First off, I would like to mention that I want to spend NO MORE than $300 at the most.

Specs:
2008 Subaru Impreza
10 Speaker, 100 watt Stock stereo
6 CD In Dash Changer
iPod Interface

Electrical:
336 Cold Cranking Amps
90 Amp Alternator

The stereo system in this car is pretty good, has nice bass and sounds good. I would like to get a little more thump.

Im thinking just a single sub, with an amp...nothing too special, just something that will work and sound good.

I havent done car audio in a few years so I would like to get some input as to what I should get. What type of sub + enclosure, and amp to go with it.

Thanks.
