Its easier said than done... starting a home business especially with no marketable skills, your talking to a 23 year old who has held 2 jobs both in garages and has know business knowledge, believe me ive tried, im not here to convience you of my disability. I will continue fighting for what I feel i deserve, if i paid into the system when i was working it should help support me when im unable to work. As for the pill issue, i take pills socially, i know several people who do also for much longer periods than I have. They arent in jail.
You paid into the system for what, a few years at minimum pay? How much total did you contribute to society? A few thousand bucks?

There is a huge social stigma when it comes to doing any mild altering substance which is why the hundreds of thousands of people who do smoke pot weekly, pop pills on occasion, take amphetameans, or exstacy, shrooms or acid whatever drug you wanna pick on do it in private.
Wow, not sure how to say this, but drugs in general ruin lives. Sure there are few people who have used in moderation, but the grand majority of users will eventually slide deep into addiction. If you want to think otherwise, I will not persuade you.

To the person on the last page the pills deal is pretty much a moral issue. Honestly i truely believe people should be allowed to grow their own pot, their own poppies and make opiates if they want or ingest whatever they choose, and its no ones business to save someone from their self. If we were to do that we would need to outlaw fast food and sugary foods as well. Outlaw smokes and alcohol, because alcohol withdrawl is far more deadly and hard to manage than opiate with drawl. Yes ive spoken with EMTs on the subject, infact we had a big discussion on another board im on relating to the War on drugs, why its ment to fail and imprison good people.
I am not so against the pot issue, not that I personally have ever smoked, but it is far less harmless than tobacco. Hell I think there are plenty of people I know that would be better off getting high once in a while to chill them out.
Now I would not take the word of an EMT as gospel. They are just a little more trained than your average firefighter. They don't even have the education requirements of an RN, let alone a doctor or pharmacist.

The people you knew who ended up in jail knew the risks, and if it wasnt for a big nanny government telling them what was right for them, they would still have jobs and be living their lives, they would either keep taking pills every now and then or they would get addicted and either die or choose to quit. Which is there choice and no one has the right to take that from them.
Um, no they didn't get busted for drugs, they got busted for stealing people's shit and turning tricks for dope. You cannot find a way to blame that on drug legislation. That is 100% the fault of their addictions. Nice try.

As for the lady getting her own script, doctors cant feel your pain so they have to judge who needs the pills and who is just looking for a high so they can err either way giving it to someone who doesnt need it or not giving them to someone who does. I dont feel pitty for people who scam disability either, if your healthy enough to work then so be it, but if your not and you paid into the system the system should take care of you until your are healthy enough to work again.
If the lady has the pain you say she has, then the DR would see that and offer her a valid script. But since she is self medication off the street, I would bet she more likely has an addiction to feed, not legit pain.

Then again im an idealist i guess, hell id be classified as a terrorist according to recently a released memo to a police department in missouri i think it was, ya know speaking about the constitution, freedoms and rights, thats bad.
Now im rambling so im going to cut off my post here.

Edit: BTW if you could help me find a way to make money from home I would be extremely greatful, all i can really do is sit on the PC most of the time if im not laying down or sick from the amount of antihistamines or whatever other drugs i have to take to keep shit bareable for myself.
No im not against working but for me to be able to get gainful sustainable employment outside of my house would be impossible at this point.
What skills DO you have? No, selling your scripts does not count.

Since you got into the business of YOU the tax payer, i would like to state i also paid taxes, i paid taxes for all the healthy people who dont want to work ect.. from my point of view if I were healthy paying taxes and someone sick came up to me and asked do you mind that i sell pain pills i get for nearly free to make some what of an income so i can support my continued treatment and help my single parent out who has gotten into debt helping me get treatment, what kind of a person would I be to say no, i dont care how sick you are get a job....
How much have you paid in taxes in your lifetime? A few thousand? You are only 23 years old. You have only been of age to work for what, 7-8 years? How much have you earned in that short time?

I could never do that and sleep at night but i guess thats where value systems differ, i value people, their health, their freedom to choose. I also know you have no way of knowing what ive been going through so i dont blame you for feeling the way you do about me and my situation but that as far as it goes.
Where are your values in terms of helping people with addictions? Do you feel it is your responsibility to pay for the addictions of others? What about a really fat person who has heart problems from eating to much and not working out enough? Should they sit on their fat ass and live off my hard work? What if their addiction was meth? Should I pay to help them through addiction rehab? Should I have to pay higher retail prices to compensate for the theft loss incurred by the stores they steal from?

And also in regards to people in prison for drug abuse whom many of which could be contributing members of society if it wasnt for moronic laws. You are paying taxes to keep them in prison and i think it roughly comes out to 50k a year is the average cost of keeping someone in prison, just a little thing to think about
Look, you can try to make them the victims all you want, but they went to jail because of their addictions, not because a law said it was wrong to abuse illicit drugs. They stole stuff or turned tricks to get a fix. That is what landed them in jail. I would rather house them in jail then pay for their added cost to society while free. At least while they are jailed I don't have to worry about them stealing my stuff or killing me over a $5 score.
