Okay that helps. that is what I wondering about. Thanks Bill.

So what I wanna know is how do you know if you have built the right box for the sub?? Are the manufacturers specs at least close?? Cause that is what I try to go by.

What can I study to know that I am doing it right??

naaa, the box i blew the 10" in was supposed to be for a 12, but i never got around to buying one, so i just stuck the 10" in there, and my volume knob was just asking me to turn it up.....those sqx's are brittle

loudwagon15s wrote:ha, well my rep is blowing subs now, thats the third one, i noticed that the sqx's that i have only have 1 spider, so maybe that could be a problem. I wanna sell off the woofers i have left, maybe re-cone the blown subs and get either 1 15" or 1 18" fsq, that is if bill wants to build me one ;)
Sounds like you mignt want him to build enclosure as well... :bigwink:

Ill draw a couple boxes up monday at work.

No because the mechanical suspension is going to be diffrent for each woofer. Truck boxes are fine as long as your not over powering them. Take that truck box put a 12 with 2000 watts on it and it will rip the coil to shreds.

What I dont get is if you build a box by the man. specs is there a certain amount of power you can put to it??

say for instance a 1.0 cuft. will take x amount of power.
