That'd be great for the inner city driveways that are all a very tight squeeze, but don't think it would work well for entire subdivisions.

cargodz wrote:Actually I checked into it already for Michigan and Ohio and it is perfectly legal to plow if you are contracted by the subdivision's board... It is also legal to plow any city street as long as you have a contract with city, county, township, or county... One of my buddies used to plow with his truck for the city on small alleyways and back roads that the larger trucks wouldn't fit down.
And yes an older body style Dodge 3/4 ton would be great, but for some odd reason around here they seem to be more of a collector item and everybody holds on to them or sells them at a really high rate... Had I known this were all going to play out like this ahead of time around the end of summer I saw a newer style Dodge 1 ton with a V-10 (back when gas was sky high) had like 180+K miles on it and was in really decent shape (only minor rust)... They were asking $1000 bucks for it... but hind sight 20/20 and all that :sad017:
Those cummins diesels last forever...

I know a guy who has a mid/late 90's ram v10 3/4 ton 4wd automatic, the body is pretty banged up, but you could probably get it for 1,000-1,500... Pm me if you want the number... Of course its here in missouri though...

I tell you what makes a great truck for it, although very ugly. Look at the old Dodge trucks with the cummins turbo...you won't be sorry...they are beasts that can be had for very little. I have afriend with one in Wichita w/plow that has over 600,000 miles on it. I think it is a 91 model.

In ohio any roads are owned by the state. other than driveways and roadways on condo's/apartments. Plowing public roads is strictly prohibited.

And No worries there... He's a great kid and full of energy (and the best part is he won't even question me or how much he's getting paid :p LOL).
We used him for parking over the summer and he did a great job ALL DAY LONG running around 4 acres of property and was thrilled with what I paid him, but I pay well for a good job done and in a timely fashion... And after this summer... He knows it.
Now I just gotta find the truck/ plow... There's a few listed around here but they've got to be smoking somethin more than cigarettes cause these things are POS, rusted to hell, high miles, and they still seem to think that they're gonna make $2000 or more for them... Ain't gonna happen, although it fits the profile of what I'd like to find (somethin that ain't purty, but gets the job done) I wouldn't pay over $500 for one of these things as they're just that bad.
Most plow trucks are rusted, I think he may have something to do with the salt... :surprised :bigwink:

Something is bound to pop up...
