The make/ model is a Sharp Actius PC-RD10... If it's cheap enough I might pick it up, but like I said I already know it's only good enough for 1.5-2hours

Like said before; Just about everywhere I'd want to take it has a plug near by and I can pick up a power inverter way cheaper for the vehicles.
The one thing I think I may do is boost up my memory and I'm gonna need a usb mouse (already have an extra usb keyboard that I'm using now).

If you have the model number of the notebook, I would be happy to see if I can find a good deal for you. Since I am a computer geek (thanks Ryan) and also in the battery industry, I think I could get you a hook up.

Yeah I saw a few things online about replacing the cells, but I don't feel it's that big of an issue... Heck for that matter I already have a huge laptop carrying case so I suppose if I really wanted to I could get a Shuriken SB-KT20 with a small power inverter and throw it all in there for hours of use :p

There are some battery places you send the packs to and they bust them open and replace the cells.

But if you can keep it plugged in I wouldnt bother. You just cant beat free!

cargodz wrote:Hell yeah, I love this thing... better graphics And SOUND lol... The only downside to it is that the battery is shot so it has to stay plugged in... Like everywhere I would take it doesn't have a plug near by.

Contact Sharp and see if they still make batteries for that model. I would be surprised if they don't. The batteries are not overly expensive and if that is the only thing that you have had to pay for that laptop, then I would say you still came out WAYYYY on top!
