#1. The last quote you quoted me on was definitely taken the wrong way by yourself. Because i wasn't saying anything that "wasn't nice". Hence the "you know" after my post in purpose of hoping you'd understand me, and the thumbs up character after my statement as well, but i guess it went over your head. No worries.
I was actually talking about me not having anything nice to say to your response on that topic. I followed it with a nice comment though...
#2. I'm not Reme, and i can't stand up for him neither, because i wasn't there. But I doubt, highly doubt that there was "over spray". And actually, if you didn't see it, why are you assuming there was, you know. But don't answer that, i'm sure we all have much more creative things to do.
I was making a comment about the company you work for, this isnt an insult on you... But come on, it wasnt masked off, theres no way in the world theres not over spray on the windshield.
#3. I'm moving forward from this post. Catch you on another post, sir.
I call it as I see it. I've seen Reme and the other guys do some very nice work, and for the most part you guys do nice installs and use pretty dang good gear, but if I see you do something half assed I'm going to call you on it...
It's kind of like being a celebrity, if you put yourself in the spot light youre going to be judged... I'm sorry if you dont like, but thats just the way it is.

Yeah, i'll wrap this up:

Doesn't mean theirs overspray on anything, sir.
Must be magical paint. When Reme was "fixing" the bad stop on the dash he didnt have anything masked off when he was repainting it... Explain to me how overspray did not get on the windshield????
And if paint flakes off, they simply call up, and it gets fixed. If there is enough time, then it gets done with the proper procedure, if not, then we do what is needed to fix it, period.
Seems like it would be easier and less time consuming to do it right the first time. I would assume that you get customers from out of state, isnt it a bit of a hassel for them to have to bring it back to get fixed?
Again, personal taste can't be argued, so i understand you, but when running a business, you don't do it by a "book". You do it according to your customer, in most cases the "customer is always right" rule, get it?
Just keep in thought, most of our clients are pressed for time, and on our butts hardcore daily, you know.
:thumbsup
I'll just leave this one alone, if you dont have something nice to say, dont say nothing at all...

I will say that I've seen you guys turn out some nice work...

But hey, if the customer dont mind overspray on everything... :confused
And yeah, the client might be happy until the paint starts flaking off a few weeks later, or until he drives off and crashes his car because once the sun hits the windshield the glaze gets so bad he can't see through it.
I could see leaving the dash in and masking everything off real good, but the other panels are easy enough to remove and it wouldnt of took much more time to do the job properly.
I dont know, if somebody is paying me to do a job, I want to do it to the best of my ability...
Thanks.

As far as masking pieces, of course we do that, it's proper procedure. But in some cases where someone like P. Diddy wants his cars at a certain time, we have to get it there, period, no excuses. So what saves time, keeps a client happy.

SEM really is some good stuff. its oftenly used in the collision field.... like the chip guard stuff, which i have used on the back of my roll pan.

Yes, SEM is one of our sponsors.

And it still doesnt excuse the fact that they painted the pieces inside the car and didnt mask anything off... That's just being lazy, theres has to be overspray everywhere inside that car.

I do wonder about that, I seen them do a escalade or tahoe that way on an episode. Will was wiggin cause reme didn't lay anything down on the carpet.

Ah well lets let them explain,

Tim
