n00b box building question

by Munki » Sat Jul 19, 2008 12:05 am

Ok i'm expecting someone to be a smartazz to me or point me in the direction of some kinda page to read or something, But basically my question is.....How to I know exactly what the cu.ft. is inside of the box i'm designing? Even with the port?

I'm seriously considering buying another 12" kicker comp. and build my own box for it. Tater built my box for me for my 2 already, but i cant rely on Tater to build me a box, for 2 basic reasons:

1) I can't afford to keep trading things or paying him, depending on what he wants.

2) It looks like a lot of fun, and i was there when he built a simple ported box for his kicker and it didn't seem all that hard.

I think some part of this box designing ordeal has to do with trigonometry but im not positive on that. I have taken algebra and geometry in High school so far, so i havent the slightest clue what to do.

Any help is appreciated.

thx,

a desperate Munki :(
