it was a few days for payment to clear and then next day i boxed it up and dropped it off on the way home at a ups store. but they take till next day if you drop it off in the evening, still no big deal, but throw in a holiday weekend andthis guy is pissing his pants. so its been about a week and a few days or so. maybe 11 days and itss being delivered today. but it takes usually 3-4 days for paypal to process, then shipping to florida with the holiday weekend thrown in andd thats about as fast as i can make it...

This guy just seems the type of idiot that wants instant gradification... I've encountered plenty of them before (as I'm sure you and many others have too).
When it all boils down to it, you can be screwed by any means even cash in hand... Sucks that people have to be this way nowadays.

I have had a few bad transactions on ebay both with the other part at fault and every time i've had my money refunded without incidence. its up to you to protect yourself not some company to protect you. if you buy from verified party's and sell from a verified account then you are protected incredibly well. Its up to you to be educated on the subject and make an informed decision. its no diffrent then buying shit on the street corner.

Im not gonna ask brtnboarder about anything ive had transactions in the past with him.

Terry none of this is directed at you obviously. sucks about that situation, i would have waited till the item got there before going any further. how long did you wait to ship it? some people are just assholes.

There's a thread on ECA right now about this very subject.

I would suggest rereading it yourself.

Ask brtnboarder3241 about it. He nearly got screwed over by Pay Pal outside E bay. Actually he did. only reason I say almost is due to the fact people hounded the seller into refunding him.

Ive seen it on the net a few times. Providing the seller has proof a package was shipped to you, the seller is fine. It turns into a your word vs. their word about product discrepencies/functionality.

dirk954? More like dink954.

funny thing is, its just a dispute right now, if he elevates it to a claim hes gonna lose because the package will be there today. i dont know wtf he wants other than to be a pain in the ass

Pay Pal isnt safe anymore for either party, so I dont use it on anything major, just very small stuff.
Theres no protection for buyers outside E bay. If a buyer uses a stoled credit card or a jacked account, theres no security for sellers.
Hell as a seller I could ship a box of bricks and all they would see is you received your package, and thats that- sale completed.
