First and foremost, Don has never been anything more than a low level employee at any time and that was many years ago. I would not even have a clue where to find him today.

As for the guy "running the show" I assume you mean Pat. He has been known to be thought of as a rough around the edges guy, but that is because he is a high level guy in the industry. It would be like asking Bill Gates for tech support. Or asking Bill Ford how to change your oil. Not that it excuses any rudeness, just the way it is in the world.

As for any legal issues that this company has, any company that has quick success like we did in an old school industry like the battery industry is going to ruffle some feathers and tick some people off with deep pockets. When you do that, they can tangle you up in the legal system for years if they want to. That is America I guess.

I guess some would call me a Kool-aid drinker or a fanboy, but to be honest, our products are very well designed for car audio. That is not to say that other brands would not work too. Some people are going to have other brands and they will work just fine. Some will have a Kinetik and it will work fine. Others will have any brand that fails and will always say it sucked.

It would be no fun to have only one single brand of any component. What if we only had one H/U company to choose from? Or amp brand? Or woofers? I think you see the point. There are plenty of people out there and one product will not fit all. We just hope to help our fair share of people keep their music beating.

Well I cant say all the information I have is/was accurate. But my ex was rambling on about stuff way back when.

Basically to make a long story short I wanted to get into contact with Don about a kid he has with my ex, whom I have a kid with also (before him). The only way I potentialy could of got ahold of him was through the Kinetik site (as my ex blabbed he owned part of it?). So I shot off an e mail and got a rather snide reply back. Thats why I think hes a douche bag (pat).

Legal issues with kinetik is what started this whole thread, read through it.

My comments were more on a personal level than a professional. The way I look at things is the guy running the show is a douche bag, the company has a black eye.

On a professional level it appears theres some issues at hand. I dont use Kinetik batts so i dont have any first hand experiences.

Which reply email came from Pat? I think I must have missed that part. I just spoke with Pat (because I had no idea who Don was) and he is not even aware of this board. I doubt Pat is involved in this discussion.

Don "Bootsie" Farnsworth? Ha! There is a name I haven't heard of for a while. I worked with Don for a short time when he came to work for the computer division as one of our sales guys. I remember him hitting on one of our customer's daughters. She was hot and all, just thought it was a tad unprofessional. Not the best of sales people IMHO.

As for the whole Virtual PC's store thing, that was a distant red headed cousin of this company. Most of those stores were independently owned. Not sure what the legal stuff is. I guess it is either that old of news, or it concerns someone who is not affiliated with this company.

I guess calling me a computer geek is not necessarily factually incorrect, but it was used in a way that was derogatory. That was the issue I had. It seems like you must be somewhat computer savvy or you would not be a mod on this board.

While I don't really want to pick a fight or anything, but you pretty much have called me a loser in this thread. Since I don't know you, and you certainly don't know me, I will give you the benefit of the doubt and assume you are a good guy who knows little about me or my company and were just making empty comments.
Anyways, all companies start somewhere right? So if we came from the computer industry in the past, that should preclude us from entering a different industry? Actually it was the reason we entered the car audio industry. We were involved in a failed attempt to build an in-dash carputer. We had some limited working versions, but it really never took off. That is what got us into the industry.
If you have any questions about our products or our company, feel free to let me know. I would be more than happy to answer them for you.
That would be Don.

I believe my reply email came from pat but thats not important anymore.

Ive pretty much made the comment that Virtual PCs is a crap computer store without naming them until now. Which they are IMO, and yes Ive had dealings there. So therefore computer nerds is fitting, no?

So you tried to devise a carputer, failed and stumbled onto new super technology? Ok... BTW I heard Don was selling these units, so how did they fail is he was selling them?

From my stand point theres real legal issues at hand that arent settled yet or if they have been its not known here yet. Either way im guessing not to many people care, but I could be wrong.

Welcome to the board.

Well It's not a huge loss... like I said, I try to give people a break to prove themselves since everybody doesn't always come off well with first impressions... As Ryan stated, we've had them come and go... and the fanboys that don't want to learn usually aren't around for long.

it appears that he has dissappeared

hes had the opportunity to look at other threads and post. hes had the opportunity to do it and hasnt, i dont expect itll change.

by cargodz » Wed May 28, 2008 3:51 am

^ That's your job Terry :D so I wouldn't expect any less :p lol

And I guess I just like giving people the opportunity to explain themselves as to why they are making themselves sound like an idiot... There is always room for redemption... or giving the solid fact that one is just that stupid.

Hopefully our little friend here will look over some of the many other posts here over time and realize that he is not dealing with a bunch of dumb kids... There is a ton of knowledge within this board from some professionals, enthusiasts, hobbiest, competitors & one would be hard pressed to match it in the world of car audio anywhere ;)

I'm willing to give you a chance here to explain yourself without putting you down, as I'm sure everyone else would be to with a reasonable explaination.

i think im gonna go ahead and insult him anyway.
