That is bare bones, yeah the thing with laptops is you CAN do that. The market is getting flooded with them more and more so you can pay next to nothing for one now and get a pretty decent one. AS-IS scares me, NO warranty is even worse, the one week thing is, to me just bad business.

Wow am I glad I went to check out this guys place... Not because I got a new computer, but because I stopped my dad from buying one.
Apparently this was one of those friend of a friend type deals with my dad and this guy. I talked to the guy on the phone and he said he had 3 IBMs, well just to prove how much an idiot this guy is... They were Not. They were Compaqs, and even though he apologized for misquoting the makes... He still kept calling them HPs. They were a Celeron M processor (1.5), not 1 gig of memory, but 256 upgradable to a max of 1 gig, DVD-rom only, No burner or even floppy drive for that matter... I straight laughed at the guy and told him he may find a sucker somewhere else, but it ain't gonna be me or anybody I know... The he's like since I know your dad here, if you each buy one, I'll knock $20 bucks off each... What a joke!
So Ryan or anybody else in the Toledo area, do yourself a favor and stay away from Computer Center in Maumee on Conant St.

Hopefully if all goes well I'm gonna go check them out tomorrow... My dad knows the guy and he just recently mentioned him.

Oh ok, didn't know that. Still not a bad price, though.

most of those ibms arnt upgradeable unfortunately it will most likely be a T40

Man for that big of ram that is a really good deal. Do you know the guy personally?? I gave $900. for my wife's Sony Vaio, then with the office depot rebates it brought it down to $750. The processor and stuff don't much matter for that price, shoot you could afford an upgrade or two if need be.

You should jump, like, all over it.

I know it's 1 gig ram, but that's about it right now... Yeah the price is decent and that's why I want to go see exactly how good a deal it is :)
