i was looking at the savage and the ruger 7mm they look pretty stout.

Well, my favorite gun would be my primary hunting rifle. The Ruger M77 7mm stainless steel with black synthetic stock and Bushnell Buckhorn scope.
The main reason for this rifle being my favorite is because it saved my life when a bear tried to take me out. He looked a lot more scarey running at me full tilt.

That thing is pretty cool... but you'll never be able to take it hunting. I think electric pumps may scare off some things.

Although, I can't imagine what it would do to a squirrel...

i was looking at that rifle infact i had it on layaway when i decided to get the M4 dont spend your money on that gun get a 700 instead. when you go to the store pull open the bolt and wiggle it. it wiggles like a fat laddie at terrys shop. the savage 308 is a much better gun and i would deffinatly reccomend going that way.
