Got it in Today, finally.

Way nicer cooling than the previous card. Need to plug this card in though, lol.

Oh well all is good and Im very happy now.

you should be fine. remember you get current from the pci slot aswell as your psu.

Now thats just damned scary.

I think each 12V rail is up to 16 Amps.

I guess we will see.

Good choice on the first card.

You'll know if your power supply isn't sufficient when it freezes up randomly or shuts off completely.

Ok Im gonna get the top one.

Ya it appears they took that one I listed off the market sometime between my post and when you guys noticed it...lol

As far as my power supply I have no clue Bill. lol, I hope it will.

I know my processor is rated @ 125 Watts.

Unsure about my hard drive/fan total. I know the fans dont consume that much tho.

If the PSU wont work I will just get another.

I come to the conclusion just like my car audio, its better to save for what you really want instead of running something lesser. Just wasnt happy with that other card :(

Im gonna have to wait til next week or I get my RMA refund from new egg to get that one...

Do you have a power supply that supports this size card? what psu is it?

by Bwcad1 » Sat Mar 01, 2008 10:32 am

the bottom MSI was deactivated. and in most cases the 8800gt series is faster than the GTS except if its a g92

by joeyc » Fri Feb 29, 2008 11:12 pm

the MSI gts

My card is 320mb of ram but its also 320bit ram and its ranked pretty high up there.

I'd check out the VGA charts on tomshardware -> http://www23.tomshardware.com/graphics_2007.html

Its a little old at the moment, but It ranks the cards and you can see different benchmarks. Also, tomshardware has decent articles on different video cards.
