Thanks I have been to a couple of places and so far I love the focals. but man were they steep.... in price that is.

To be honest I havent herd my old fosgates in years. But I know they used to sound sweet in my old crx.

I think only your ears will tell you that. I would visit a car audio store or two and listen to what they've got. You will be able to get an idea on the sound quality as long as there aren't other loud things going on.

Older speakers?

So I have been getting my system together for my truck have a set of older ( late 80's or real early ninety's ) 6.5 Rf mid-base drivers and 5.25" mids but no tweets. I used to have the 1" domes but there long gone. :sad017:

My question is , will newer stile speakers sound better? Is the technology that much better?
