an amp is never gonna do what it says in a real world situation. True....but i know a lil someone with a lil mm4000 that put out a lil more than rated on 13.8 volts. :) But then again, you know every aspect of how to get that result. The point being, maxxsonics ftw

the people who say that shit are people who dont know or just run there mouth. ull learn quickly that 90 percent of people dont know what there doing. an amp is never gonna do what it says in a real world situation.

I just went ahead and matched the gains, it was not as bad as I thought. I just remember trying to gain match 2 US Amps MD3's and they would not put out the same voltage except for one freq. these amps were much easier to work with and they are stomping the US Amps in terms of output. A+ for Hifonics, I do not know why people say that these amps do not do rated power. These amps are very noticably louder than the MD3's which are supposed to be 2000+ RMS and these are supposed to be an overrated 2600. IMO these are more efficient and if they are overrated it is not by much best and most powerful amps I have ever had, they also run very cool.

Like Bill said... You seem to be wanting an easy way out... The problem with this is... The easy way most of the time is Not the right way... Take you're time and hook up everything the way it should be and you'll be happy you did ;)

use a maxxlink whats the problem with setting both amps? this is getting retarded. if you dont want to do the work sell the damn amps and get one big one.

running one at .5 ohm is stupid your pushing the amp to hard... there is no way to tell the power. you need to find somone to do this for you the right way... your going to cause more damage to more equipment unless you do it the right way which apparently you dont want to do.

Ok I want to wire a sub to each amp but I do not want to have to gain match both amps, I only want to set the gains on one amp. However, I do not want to strap them, is there a way that I can wire a sub to each amp and still be able to only have to set one amp without strapping them. If there is a way for me to do this can you tell me how? Also I just got my amp replaced so I am wondering how much more power should I see running 2 of these at 1 ohm a piece compared to 1 at .5 ohm?

then you still should be able to infer how to do it. the lowest strapped impedance is 2 ohm. so wire the subs to a 2 ohm load and wire it to the amp.

I am not risking my equipment and never have, that is why I consult with people before I do anything I do not understand, and no the users manual for the BXI2607 does not discuss where and how to run your subs when they are wired like mine. It only has a diagram of a wire coming off of each terminal, 2 pos. and 2 neg. I only has 1 neg. and 1 pos. coming off of a sub.

I plan on calling him before I do anything. And as I said I do not plan on running them strapped I just want to know how to, this way I have the option, if I need to.
