yea i figured it out i had them both wired to 4 ohms each , one to each channel but had the amp on LP which the amp will only do with mono off. so i just took one 12 to 4 ohms and bridged it.. sounds alot better..

including components. running an amp at .35 is stupid its risking equipment and lessening the length of life of that amp.

Ok first what is the RMS of those subs. I'm guessing 2000 watts is a peak rating.

Second, it sounds like you have your speakers wired for an ohm load the amp doesn't like. Thats why its cutting out.

OK ive got 2 {awt12x} 2000 watt 12" audiobahn subs. they are 2ohm dual voice coils that operate at 1 and 4 ohms [double stacked aluminum magnets] what kind of amp would i need to push them . and would i get more bang with just one hooked up or both? sorry im new to this crap. my 600 watt 2 channel kicker keeps cuttin of when the sound gets to a certain level. ive only got about $300 maybe a lil more. i was thinkin bout the kenwood kac-x1r, any opinions?

same board dont matter, its the stuff on it that does

just cause people run it at low loads doesn't make it a good amp. i dont have a problem with sundowns stuff. its a good amp. hell many manufacturer's use the same board. i can name 3 company's off the top of my head with the same amp in a diffrent case. there to expensive for what they are.

note: you can run pretty much any one ohm stable amp at .35 assuming your electrical and your impedance rise are correct.

i say saz 1500,there running on .35 ohm loads if u got the charging system to handle it
