That's the unfortunate thing about people who don't really understand what they're getting into. They DON'T KNOW that they're wrong, so they'll keep arguing. They don't have the capacity to admit or understand that they screwed it up.
I'd send him an email asking a couple questions:
1.) How long did he play it before it started making noise. Was it working properly when he first ran it?
2.) Why did he wait two months to contact you after buying it?
3.) If he wasn't happy with it, why did he leave positive feedback?
Explain to him that if it was working originally, any playing or potentially incorrect setup that causes damage isn't covered by you, since you didn't damage the product, HE did.
